Led by transport expert David Quarmby OBE this project is looking at the implications and relevance of PCT to the transport sector.This project also looks at issues of system design and technological options relating to different transport modes and assess how a PCT scheme may relate to other policies such as road user charging.
Additionally, this work is assessing the likely behavioural responses and personal transport decisions that would result from a PCT scheme. Using stated preference approaches this project will result in important new evidence to help in the evaluation of PCT as a policy instrument.
