Claire lives in a five-bed detached house in Essex with her husband and two children, where she looks after the house and the family.
She's in her early forties, and intends to stay there.
Claire goes to Pilates on a Tuesday, aerobics on a Thursday and the beautician on a Friday, and she looks alert and perky following the brow lift she had for her 40th birthday. She drives a 4x4 Freelander for shopping, the school run and ferrying her children to and from social activities. Her husband has an Audi Cabriolet, which she shares on evenings out.
At home, to make sure there are no arguments over the remote control, everyone has their own TV and there’s a plasma screen in the living room. Claire and her husband often entertain, so they have two large fridges (one for drinks) and two freezers. Last year they bought a patio heater which has been great for summer parties, though you seem to either get a bit burnt if you’re under it or half-burnt/half cold if you’re on the perimeter. Rotating for an even finish just makes you feel like a spit roast and seems unsociable.
The family usually goes to Gran Canaria in the summer, and this year Claire and her girlfriends are treating themselves to a shopping holiday in New York.
