Lois Street

Lois Street

Lois is a dazzler, with a penchance for men that really fly through life. Aged 26, she works for the international accountancy firm Cash-R-Us.

She was born in the U.S. and lets property there. Now based in London, her job takes her all round the world. Her company’s CSR policy includes a scheme to offset employees’ flights by donating to carbon reduction schemes in the developing world. This is something she’s adopted for her personal emissions and she tells her friends all about it.

Her London pad is an air-conditioned, purpose-built two-bed penthouse in the Docklands, with a balcony overlooking the river, where she often entertains underneath her patio heater. She drives a Porsche to and from work, to the gym 3 times a week, and to the shops, but if she’s going out for the evening she generally takes a cab. She’s got a weakness for Harvey Nicks and also, she admits, for a little place she knows in Paris where she buys most of her suits. She likes to take Eurostar – the queues are less arduous than at the airport.

She goes back to see her family in San Francisco at least twice a year and also stays in touch with a group of friends from college, who meet up once a year in Washington. Other than that, all the flying for work means she’d rather stay at home than hop on a plane to Europe for the weekends.
