Veggie Perrin

Veggie Perrin

Veggie worked as an insurance broker in Norwich for longer than he’d like to recall. He’s 54 and lives in a four-bed, semi-detached house on the edge of town with his wife and two teenage daughters.

They have a conservatory and a lovely back garden which his wife takes good care of. Veggie got a fantastic deal on their double glazing (which is unfortunately PVC and not timber), which was fitted three years ago, and he also upgraded their loft insulation, both of which have been great investments.

Veggie drives a Mondeo to and from work and to the golf course on Saturdays, but uses his old Raleigh Chopper to get the newspaper and the milk. It has struck him how environmentally sustainable the old milkman was – whirring around in his electric vehicle, dropping off glass bottles and picking up the empties. He’s going to see if they can still get the service.

He likes to treat his wife to weekends away once a month. The Perrins have a timeshare in a property in the Algarve, and go there at least once a year, though the girls don’t seem to enjoy family holidays as much as they used to.
